Diversity and inclusion, what is it?
Diversity refers to the variety of individual differences in a group or organisation, such as differences in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, cultural background, ect.
Inclusion means creating an environment where different individuals feel welcome, valued and respected and where there is room for differences. Inclusion goes beyond simply accepting diversity; it is about actively pursuing equal opportunities and addressing inequality and discrimination.
So, diversity and inclusion together means creating a working environment where people of all backgrounds and identities are valued and respected, where there is room for differences and where everyone has equal opportunities to grow and succeed. All these factors have been incorporated into the design.
The design itself
The illustration was created in Blender & Adobe Illustrator. In the 16 hours created, a lot of thought went into the layout and shading of the design. Each doll has its own identity in which you can see the religion, gender or race. Emotion is also reflected in each doll; happy, scared or sad. Certain professions, clothes or hobbies cannot be forgotten either.
Explanatory note draft name
"JAKOBUS II" what does that have to do with diversity/inclusion at all? On Jakobus 2: (sentence 1 to 4) from the Bible, people in the Christian faith speak of discrimination not being acceptable. One specifically talks about rich and poor, when the poor have to look up to the rich who can sit in a nicer place.
Above the various faces, the title and text are still described in Latin.
